This video demonstrates how injection molds can be efficiently and thoroughly cleaned using a gantry system, an intelligent cleaning system (IRC), and an e-chain set. The use of the gantry system is demonstrated, highlighting its precise positioning and movement. Following this, the intelligent cleaning system is introduced, including its functionality. The advantages of this cleaning method for injection molds include precise and automated cleaning of hard-to-reach areas, detection and removal of contaminants through intelligent sensors and software, as well as flexible and reliable energy and data transmission.

In this video, we showcase an innovative solution for downstream sprue separation in injection molding production. The setup of the gantry system and the integration of the IRC are shown in detail, as well as the operation of the rotary conveyor and the camera for precise detection and separation of sprues. The Schunk gripper is demonstrated in action, handling the sprues safely and efficiently. The e-chain set ensures reliable power and data transmission, allowing the entire system to operate smoothly and efficiently. The benefits of this solution include increased production speed, reduced scrap, improved workplace safety, and a low footprint.

In this video, we demonstrate the use of an automated system for inserting components into an injection molding machine. This innovative solution optimizes the production process and significantly increases efficiency.

The operation of the insertion process is shown step by step, demonstrating the precise positioning and handling of the components. The seamless integration of the insertion system into the existing injection molding machine will then be demonstrated, including the communication interfaces and control logic.

The benefits of this solution include increasing production speed and accuracy, reducing scrap and material waste, and improving worker safety by minimizing manual intervention.

The Dr. BOY GmbH & Co. KG, known for its compact and economical injection molding machines, has combined the BOY 35 E series with igus’s Low Cost Automation to enable automated parts handling. This leads to a faster return on investment for customers.

The BOY 35 E machine is particularly compact and efficient, ideal for the production of precision parts in tight tolerance ranges.A distinguishing feature of the BOY 35 E in the technical center is the integrated portal from igus, which provides simple parts handling. This portal is part of igus’s broad Low Cost Automation offering and allows customers to quickly and easily put a pick-and-place linear robot into operation for various tasks. The system is maintenance-free and can be individually assembled and programmed thanks to an online configurator.

The pneumatic pickers from BOY are replaced by the Low Cost Automation linear portals from igus, as these are more flexible and cost-efficient. The BOY 35 E with integrated Low Cost Automation from igus was first presented at fakuma 2023 and attracted great interest.
