A specific customer test was carried out in our Custom Testing Area. The aim was to transport stacked buckets individually to another location. This was to be achieved using the pick-and-place method.
For this process, the Igus spatial gantry robot was used in combination with the vacuum gripper from Eberle Greiftechnik. The robot sucks in a bucket and transports it to the unloading point. This process is repeated until all the buckets are stacked again at the new location.
The test was successful. The application enables a flexible and safe transport process. By automating the process, it was possible to achieve efficient and precise handling of the buckets.
The combination of the Igus spatial gantry robot and the vacuum gripper from Eberle Greiftechnik proved to be an effective solution for the pick-and-place process. This system offers a flexible and safe method of transporting stacked buckets. It shows the potential for further applications in similar scenarios.
